Cerberum's ruling government is that of a senatorial democracy meaning the Senate is the one and only ruling body making all the decisions.

History[]

Cerberum was initially colonized as the first HIR in the Mimm 5 sector by the UFS. After 50 years of being ruled by the UFS the people of Cerberum declared their independence wanting their own way of life over one governed by off-worlders who they felt did not understand their needs as a people. Instead of refusing to leave the UFS offered a deal, to aid the fledgling planet in it's stand-up of their new government then after a contract of 20 years acting as a protectorate for the HIR, the people of Cerberum would be able to vote whether to remain a protected state under the UFS or embark on their own. The people of Cerberum chose to embark on their own. Almost immediately after the departure of the UFS the crime families moved in but none would have such an impact as what would come years later. The re-emergence of the Glass family on Cerberum ushered in a new wave of shady dealings with the senate on Cerberum. Now, even though the government is still in place, Glass Inc runs the planet and all of its dealings.
